Thank you for your interest in the Undergraduate Research Scholars (URS) program. The application for the 2026-2027 school year is closed. Next year’s application will open in May 2027.
Eligible students for URS are:
- First-year or transfer undergraduate students starting at UW–Madison this Summer or Fall term
or
- Current UW–Madison undergraduate students starting their second year this Summer or Fall term
- From any college or school at UW-Madison
- Available to attend the Wednesday seminar from 5:30 to 6:30 pm both Fall and Spring semesters.
- Able to work approximately 4-6 hours per week on their research or creative practice project both Fall and Spring semesters.
